Business plan

How to do a business plan

Four P's of the marketing plan

The marketing plan is a part of your entire business plan that's very important. In this part of the plan you should include these four P's - Product, Promotion, Price and Place.

Product / Service

In the product section you should include all the products / services that the company will offer. The products should be explained well so that others that aren't in your type of niche will understand what's all about. Why is your product good, what are the attributes etc.

If you for the time being only have one product but plan to expand then all the products that you are planning should be included here. That's products that you plan to include in the near future.

Promotion

What type of activities are you planning with the purpose of getting customers?
This is the main question to be answered in this part.

Here you should discuss which promotions that you will use and how you plan that they will affect the market. If partners are going to be used then you must explain in detail who they are and what they can contribute with.

Be as specific as you can when you write this section. It's not fine with just saying that you plan to get articles in papers, you must say how these should look like and in which papers they shall be published.

What position will your company try to get on the market?
What type of company are you?

Price

What price do you plan to sell the products for?
Here you should explain that and also write why the products cost that much or so little. Explain everything that you can about the price of the product.

Place

How will your products be made available to the people that shall buy.
What channels will you use to distribute?
Who will sell the products?
Do you have multiple distribution methods?

Answer all the questions that you think that an investor would like to know about your distribution.

If you want potential investors to like your business plan then these parts should be included in the marketing part of the plan.
