Why should you write a business plan?
The two main reasons why anybody writes a business plan is in the case that they are interested in starting up a new business or planning to expand an existing business.
Lenders / Investors
If it's investors or lenders that you are in search for then it will probably be a requirement to have a good business plan formulated that the investor or lenders can read and like if they are to give you money.
The investors want to see that you have resources and experience to run your business. Further are they interested in what the projected income is and what repayment plan that you are looking for. If you don't have these things sorted out then you probably won't get the desired money.
Planning for your business
If money isn't the factor and you are about to start a new business or expand an existing one then a business plan can help you to ensure that the goals you set will be obtained. Â The primary reason why a business plan might help you is that it forces you to think about every possible obstacle and to find the solutions for them. A problem that arises that you already are aware of is a problem you are more likely to solve without problems.
